Gotham GAC-7 is arguably the finest 7-conductor tube microphone cable in the world. It has excellent shielding, high-quality copper conductors, and low capacitance.

Neutrik XLR7 connectors are the long-standing industry standard for premium XLR microphone cables.

In 2024, Neutrik was forced to change the formulation of the black plating on these connectors. The new e-coat / "NTK" coating is an insulator rather than a conductor, which compromises (or, at least, potentially compromises) the shielding performance of the cable -- because the cable housing no longer makes electrical contact with the devices at either end. Therefore as of October 2025, we have switched to nickel plated XLR7 connectors for these cables, unlike the photos shown on this page. 

These cables are 20 feet (6m) in length. The jacket color is gray. (The jacket looks black in the photo, but is dark gray in color.)

Compatibility

This tube mic cable is compatible with, and is a recommended upgrade for:

• the V-47 tube mic kit and the V-47 tube microphone
• the V-47 LE tube mic kit and the V-47 LE tube microphone

• the Avantone CV-12 and other SYT-1201 variants

This GAC7 cable is compatible with, and recommended for, our VPS tube mic power supply.

Technical Specifications

We wire these straight through, pin to pin. No internal conductors are shorted to shield.
