Effects Pedal Display Shelf

We designed these effects pedal shelves for our own studio. If you'd like to add these to your studio, read on for details.

Material / Construction

The shelf is formed from laser-cut 14-gauge steel. The finished shelf is powdercoated. The color is white. The shelf is extremely rigid. We probably could have used aluminum or 16-gauge steel, but we designed this to exceed any reasonable expectation for capacity, robustness, and quality (just like everything else we make!).

Installation

The rear panel is drilled every 2 inches to accommodate a #8 pan-head screw; installing three such screws into studs easily supports the shelf.

Capacity

Each shelf holds 8-12 effects pedals, depending on size.

We made the rear panel 4 inches tall so that most pedals can be leaned back at an angle without scraping the wall. Very tall pedals can either be stood vertically, or laid on one side. Mini pedals lay flat.

Expected Pricing

Short-run custom metal parts are not inexpensive. We do not have the ability to manufacture these in house, so we are contracting them out (domestically). The more we make, the lower the cost for everyone. Here is our best guess at the maximum prices we would charge for these shelves:

• 1 shelf for $120
• 2 for $220
• 3 for $300
• 4 for $360

The shipping cost would be $30-50, depending on quantity and distance; deliveries to a business address are often less expensive.
