T-47 on Male Vocals

Hear Matthew Ian Welch sing the National Anthem through our T-47 microphone. Matthew writes, "The transformer colors the louder sections beautifully without sounding distorted, and the RK47 is a great match for male vox."

Signal chain: Our T-47 microphone, into the J99 preamp from Seventh Circle Audio J99 pre, through RME converters.

RK-47 capsule, transformerless circuit

Here's Andy Grammer playing an acoustic version of "Forever," from the album Magazines or Novels.

The mic on the acoustic guitar is a modded MXL 990, using our RK-47 capsule and an early version of our transformerless circuit mod. Hat tip to our friend Ryan Canestro for building the mic, setting up the session, and mixing the track!

Here's Grammer playing "Back Home," from the same session.

Here's Johnny Kubelko testing an early RK-47 and RK-12 on his Tube Tests podcast.

Our favorite RK-47 quote: "Right out of the gate, it's blowing me away!"

Favorite RK-12 quote: "This thing sounds absolutely incredible!"

Here's a fun vocal demo using our MP-V57 PCB kit and RK-47 capsule, stuffed into a very cheap donor body from Ebay. The singer is Chesqua.
