Shipping and Returns

Domestic Shipping

In-stock items will ship to domestic US addresses within 2 business days, usually sooner.

We require a signature for nearly every order over USD $199. This is for your protection, to ensure that valuable electronic kits are not stolen from your porch or mailbox.

Built-to-order microphones will be built within 3 business days, burned in for 24 hours, and shipped on the 3rd to 5th business day after the order is placed.

Most capsule and kit orders under 13oz are shipped via USPS 1st Class Mail. During the check-out process, you can choose upgraded shipping methods such as USPS Priority or UPS 2nd Day Air.

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout, based on the weight of your items. You can add items to your shopping cart to preview shipping costs without committing to purchase.

We reserve the right to correct shipping-cost discrepancies. Because the website sometimes under- or over-charges for shipping, we occasionally need to cancel an order for which insufficient shipping was charged. We sometimes also rebate cases where the website charges too much for shipping.

 

International Shipping

Orders placed via microphone-parts.com will be shipped from California. We ship to every country on the planet. Multiple shipping options are presented during the checkout process.

We strongly recommend using USPS Priority rather than USPS 1st Class. The "Priority" service costs more, but offers superior tracking and much faster delivery times. It is not unusual for "1st Class" international packages to take 3-5 weeks to arrive; in contrast, "Priority Mail" packages usually arrive in 10-12 days.

Once we have shipped a package, there is nothing we can do to speed its arrival. Some customers do seem to think we have control over foreign countries' import and postal services. Sadly, we do not have any such control. If you wish to receive a package quickly, it is up to you to choose a fast shipping method.

Can you declare my order as a "gift" and mark the Customs value as $1?

No. That is considered fraud by the US government. We declare full value on all international shipments.

Will I pay taxes upon delivery?

If your country of residence imposes import fees, duty, or VAT, you will be charged by the postal carrier upon delivery. We are not experts on the import fees for every country; if you are not familiar with your country's import policies, please research the matter before placing your order.

 

Tracking

Our label generating software sends a shipping confirmation email with tracking information at the time your order is processed.

If you use a "throwaway" or "burner" email address for online transactions, you will not receive the tracking number. For security reasons, we cannot share tracking numbers to other email addresses.

 

Returns

Capsules and kits that have not been installed can be returned within 14 days for a refund, less a 10% restocking fee. Buyer pays return shipping. The fee covers covers the costs of checking products back in to inventory.

Our microphones are warranted against defects for 30 days. Returns are charged a 5% restocking fee.
